How does dedicated server hosting work

How does dedicated server hosting work?

The dedicated server resides in the data center of the storage provider. It connects to the Internet through the host's fixed network infrastructure. It receives electricity from residential industrial power transmission lines supported by batteries and generators.

As a customer, you rent a car and thus have access to internet bandwidth, electricity, air conditioning, and data center physical security. You determine who has permissions, what ports are open, what services are running, what programming environments are allowed, and what happens when something goes wrong.

So, if you have some technical experience and can manage and configure the server yourself, or if your business has employees in charge of managing the IT infrastructure, a dedicated server is a good option.
